Spring Fever Field Trips
/If spring fever has gotten hold of you here are a few ideas.
(1) This is an Atlanta Classic, but if you haven’t climbed up Stone Mountain in a while it is worth a revisit. If you have never been there, it is a must see. If you are able, the walk up from the west side is great, a little strenuous and a little steep in a couple of spots but take your time and go slow. There are lots of activities for kids or grandkids and good picnic spots to make a day of it as well. Visit http://www.stonemountainpark.com/ for more info.
(2) If you want to do some flea market type shopping run up to the Pendergrass Flea Market. It is 20 minutes up I-85 at the Jefferson Exit. If you haven’t been, it is huge and I mean really huge. It is so big you should plan on walking a lot and then grabbing some great authentic ethnic food at the food court. http://www.pendflea.com/pfm/
